How It Works
Water is poured into an upper stainless steel chamber and drips through cylindrical filter elements into a lower chamber. The filter elements use a combination of micro-porous ceramic, activated carbon, and proprietary media to remove contaminants. Gravity does all the work - no pump, no pressure, no electricity. Upper elements typically last thousands of gallons before replacement. Flow rate is slow (about 1 gallon per hour with 2 elements).
What It Removes
Removes Well
- Chlorine taste and odor
- Lead and heavy metals (certified models like ProOne)
- PFAS (ProOne with NSF 401 certification)
- Microplastics (certified models)
- Sediment and rust
Does NOT Remove
- TDS / dissolved minerals
- Fluoride (unless using optional fluoride elements)
- Nitrates
- Hardness / scale
Installation
None. Unbox, assemble the two chambers (takes 10 minutes), prime the filter elements, and fill. No plumbing, no electricity, no tools.
